Barcelona will be selling two players in order to make room for Neymar in their roster as they look to land him from Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona are back in Spain after their tour of Japan. The Catalans emerged victorious against Vissel Kobe but were beaten by a 2-1 margin by Chelsea. Ernesto Valverde was missing a lot of first team players and in particular, Lionel Messi, but nevertheless a few more signings need to be made. Josep Maria Bartomeu will now preside over them following the end of the Asian trip.

Junior Firpo, Real Betis’ left back is looking like a certain signing and his arrival will surely lift some pressure off Jordi Alba’s shoulders after the Spain international has played relentlessly without a backup over the 2018/19 campaign. The Barcelona board will next turn its attention on trying to re-unite with Neymar and sign him up from Paris Saint-Germain.

Antoine Griezmann’s transfer was worth 120 million euros and the Blaugrana were reportedly made to even take a loan in order to pay the France international’s release clause to Atletico Madrid. That means that the reigning La Liga champions will have to earn some cash before a realistic approach for Neymar could be initiated.

Fox Sports has reported that two Brazilians will be sacrificed in order to accommodate the ultimate Brazil international. Philippe Coutinho, who has flopped since checking into the Camp Nou will be offloaded. Barca have reportedly tagged him at 120 million euros, while Malcom, who is in the middle of negotiations with Borussia Dortmund could be sold for 40 million euros oddly.

Paris Saint-Germain have already confirmed through sporting director Leonardo and coach Thomas Tuchel that the former Santos man has asked to leave the club. Neymar was not a part of the PSG team which lost to Inter Milan and will also miss out against Sydney. His suspension means that the left winger will even miss out on the French Super Cup against Rennes.
